Im gay and going into nursing a little nervous, help please?

im openly gay, and i dont really like to hide it, im very straight acting, but when it comes to jobs and work, i usually stay in the closet in the work enviroment, im always afraid my bosses are phobic or that the workplace is no place to talk about orientation, which it isnt really but i feel kinda trapped at work because i work around alot of people i know to be s, anyways im going into nursing school and my friend is an emt she told me that alot of guy nurses are gay but i dont know if she just thinks that or is it really true, and how many gay nurses ans guy nurses dou you usually have at your workplaces, i would like to hear from you guys, im looking forward to nursing but i want to do it not fearing the persecution of my superiors finding out im gay like i am now, plus, are there many phobic people in the medical field? i know thats a very general question, but any experiences are greatly welcomed
