Is it possible to go to beauty school while in High School?

I'm in high school, and I heard that you can go to beauty school while you are still in school. Is that really true? Like, could it be possible to have a hairstyling or cosmetology license before you graduate? What year do you have to be in high school to do so? This would be really helpful, so when I go off to a CSU or UC I already have a steady job to support me. If I can do this is there any schools in my area? Elk Grove, CA or Sacramento, CA? Is it possible to take online courses even though hairstyling and cosmetology is a hands on kind of job?
