Why wont Sims 2 cheat work?

Okay, I been trying for the longest to get this cheat to work and it just wont! im startin to wounder if i ain't doin it right. ((boolprob testingcheatsenabled true)) then shift and click mailbox or sim... but it just wont do nothing for me! anyone know what i might be forgettin to do?
