My phone and MP3 player both were submerged in a pool, what should I do?

Yesterday I went to a friend's b-day party in her back yard where she has a pool and someone thought it would be funny to push me in. Naturally I wasn't expecting it so I still had my MP3 player and phone in my pockets. Her pool was recently treated with a large amount of chlorine and salt and it took me a while to get out of the water so I'm sure that both my items filled with water. I've heard that a remedy for salt water on electronics is to wash them with distilled water. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated : D
