Texas Specials into my hss strat?

I have a 2006 MIM fsr hss strat (the strats with a humbucker at the bridge position). Playing through a fender deville, play .12 strings tuned down a half step. SRV is my goal. So naturally, I want to switch out the tex mex's that came wiht the guitar to so texas specials, as I hear they're made to mimic SRVs tone (not playing of course ;) ). Obviously I will need a new pickguard, as the one with my guitar is made for a humbucker. But can I just throw them in? The pup cavities in the body is what I'm worried about. There will be free space in it. Will that be a problem?? Any suggestions as to what else I may need to use these pups to their full capacity, or installation with the current body? Also, any suggestions on pedals to acheive the sound I want? Is there a way to take off old permanent marker from a coin/medallion?

As a kid of 8 or 9 years my mom worked at The University of Minnesota during the big renewal project in 1986 on the UMN's 75th anniversary. She received, for her part in the process, a br (or some other metal that oxidizes with air) medallion to commemorate the completion. She wasn't too keen on awards or medals as her work ethic didn't include winning awards, she figured the job well done was award by itself. Anyway, she essentially gave me the medallion to "play with" and subsequently this future coin collector who didn't know any better marked it all up with permanent marker to make it a cool looking black medallion. Over the years (starting with that first day of total marker coverage) the marker has worn off, but in some deep portions of it the marker still exists and has made an unsightly dull grayish oxidization appear. Now, I can't remember if the medallion was supposed to have an antiquing look to it or not (I don't think so) but that marker is proving a ***** to take off. I've done the vinegar and salt thing to shine it up, and I've tried 99% alcohol for cleaning electronics to dissolve it off (since I can't reach it by soft brush or mild eraser). No go. What next? Is the 99% alcohol telling me the darker portions "are not marker you dumb dumb ignorant man"? lol ;)

well it's either chemical problem such as paint not sticking due to wall paper glue not fully removed from the wall ( i have this problem sorting it out now) I would recommend yoiu get a plasterer in to look at the problem i recommend you clea the walls firstly again and then when he plasters over it he will make it beautifully smooth with a special coat of primer and then plaster. The primer he uses will stop the plaster from bubbling which I would note that most( of my walls are fine now only two small patches have truly bubulled, but they haven't popped yet so here's hoping I'm right) but I would recommened plastering it is the best option I spent �1000 on four rooms to be plastered including ceilings.

I've been with this guy for more than 1 yr although we started on the wrong foot, we were able to pull it off. We now live as common law husband & wife, it was hard bcoz as we have different nationalities, our culture is not the same. I admit this is the 1st time in my life that I cared and loved a guy more than I had given in the past. At 4am I woke up and he's not home yet, only then I called him but he didn't answer. 6am I left home to go to school but every 30mins I am calling his phone and our home number but noone answers. Lunch time, I still didnt hear from him. I didnt jump into conclusion coz I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. 5pm I went home and he was there lying snoring so nice. I think the company is doing a good thing for the employees and some of them are greedy and looking a gift horse in the mouth. A set amount is the only fair way to go and the company did not tell them where to live or how far they would need to drive. Honestly if I ran the company and did that for the employees I would listening the griping some then ask if a set amount of nothing was fair enough for everyone. People often live farther because housing is less expensive so should the people who chose to buy more expensive houses get a benefit to cover the difference in mortgage prices? I think you are correct and from what you the amount is correct and you have some real whiners in the company that need to look and count the blessings they have and thank the company for helping period; the benefit is not an entitlement and the company could have not done it period.

And be careful when it gets closer to your wedding to not get too stressed out, I did that on my wedding and it made me feel sick and made me break out and didn't help at all on the health side and losing weight side of it all. I do not have ADD or ADHD but i do have trouble focusing. Today i took a 30mg XR capsule in the morning and it helped me to focus unbelievably...so much so that i plan on taking one every morning before school., My question though has to do with the little kick that it gives lol. After about 2 hours i was feeling pretty awesome..not euphoric or anything even close, but a noticeable feeling of overall well being. How long will it take before my body develops a tolerance to this, and i no longer experience the mood enhancement that i felt today? I've fished that area often, and casting from the shore or a Pier you can catch a fairly wide variety of fish. I've caught whiting, pompano, flounder, small sharks and rays, lady fish, and a few puffer fish casting from the beach. You might run into some catfish on the bay side also. As for the setup, you might want to get an inexpensive saltwater rod, nothing serious just something with a little more heft than your typical b setup. Bait, I've has the most success with squid and shrimp, which can be bought cheap at any bait shop around there. I prefer squid because it's tough skin helps it stay on the hook better. Also the gulp brand artificial shrimp work pretty good.

the kids are a problem I agree. I went to taraweeh many times alhamdullilah this ramadan. Our masjid has a strict no kids under 10 policy and to supplement it, they offer free babysitting for the children. That way we can all pray with khushoo and without any distractions. As for the eid, yes i say and listed to the khutbah alhamdullilah, but most of the women do not. Either they are talking or getting food, loooool.

How long will it take my Boxer- Mastiff mix puppy to make a full recovery from parvo?

I got my boxer-mastiff mix puppy from the pound on Monday. He did great and was hyper and funny on Monday night, all day Tuesday and Wednesday morning. By Wednesday evening, he was acting a little depressed. He then started to vomit and had diarrhea once. I knew then that he possibly had Parvo, so I took him to the animal emergency room, as it was nearly 1 am. There they did a parvo test to confirm and it was positive. They gave him an antibiotic and a shot of an anti-nausea medicine to prevent vomiting. We went home and I took him to my regular vet the next morning. We decided to leave Tyson hospitalized as long as it took him to feel better, but by the next day (today) I was told that he wasn't having any trouble eating or drinking and that he hadn't vomited or had diarrhea a single time. He is now home with me, and has had plenty of water, and is eating small amounts of rice and boiled chicken. He isn't acting like his normal, hyper self though. He is alert and somewhat playful, but I am wondering how long it will take him to recover from this horrible virus and what I should be on the look out for as far as making a return trip to the vet.

Five days ago I had food poisoning, from some chicken. Three days later I was fine, though still not completely recovered, as my stomach was still a tad uneasy. The next day I started to have mild heartburn sensation, but just took it to be just more uneasiness. I had chilly for lunch (I look now that that probably wasn't a good idea). By the time dinner came around it was starting to get worse, and I could feel the stomach acid start to come up a bit. I had a couple pieces of sushi, but no more than 6. I got up this morning at 5 to find that I still had it, and that it was a slightly more painful than it was, as though my oesophagus is irritated or something. I had the same problem because my dog is a breed that rarely barks. When he was a puppy I hung a bell from the doorknob and he quickly learned to ring it- well really, he rang it because he's very jumpy and when he jumps at the door, he also hits the bell. That really helped me train him because there were no more puddles at the door when he was too small to have bladder control. When I was upstairs I could hear him ring the bell and then we'd run outside!

The most important thing is your comfort. If you are talking about an old wooden rocking chair, then yes, the extra money is worth it. If you are talking about a good comfy padded rocking chair, then NO it is not worth the extra money. Just make sure you have some kind of foot stool to push off from if you are nursing or doing alot of rocking. the gliding feature is a bit more comfortable, but not really important to the baby. I bought a regular rocking chair and got the gliding feature added (most furniture stores will do this). I love my regular rocking chair. wouldnt trade it. Have rocked both kids to sleep until 2 years old! So four years of combined rocking and LOVE it. Be comfy.. that's all that matters

odds are all the dash are not all burned out (usually little 194bulbs). I would check the Headlight switch itself (uming this has the combined Headlight switch/rotary dimmer). If it has a separate dimmer switch then you will want to check that it is getting feed. I wouldnt go tearing my dash apart just yet, as atleast some of the bulbs are still good.

My period should have started 3/6/08. I have a deviated septum and have no sense of smell until recently & a very consistent weight. The week before my period was due I began feeling extremely tired and my chest was very itchy. On Thurs.3/6/ I woke up expecting my period but just had some CV & a spot of blood. The next day my husband made salad & the smell of the dressing bothered me. I took a preg test but it was neg. so I thought maybe it was bad period symptoms. By Monday I was feeling a little nauseated through out the day & very thirsty. Began having trouble sleeping at night cause felt too warm. By Wed. I went to grocery store & when I went by fish department had to leave cause I thought I would gag from smell of fish, the whole day I felt bombarded by smells. My car won't rev any higher than about 1000rpm?

I have a carbureted 1980 ford mustang, with a straight 6, automatic , i was driving along today and then out of nowhere my car would'nt go above 100rpm's and consequently won't shift therefore I can't go faster than 10-15mph. Question on usefulness of older radar detectors...?

I recently stumbled across, in my garage, an older model Whistler detector, a Model 1540. I don't need the "cutting edge" technology in radar detection equipment, yet I wonder if this unit still provide a modi of protection...I know the 1540, e.g., has X, K, Ka and laser/VG2 capability but I know it's close to 10 yrs old. Yesterday I went to a friend's b-day party in her back yard where she has a pool and someone thought it would be funny to push me in. Fewer signs at 10DPO?

Hello all, I am new on this forum and have already read a lot of useful questions and answers. I am 34 and TTC no. 1 now. At 4,5,6 and 7 DPO I had increasingly swollen , tummy pain (and twinges in uterus), yesterday I had increased saliva and bad metallic taste in my mouth. Also, CM is white, creamy and abundant. I am tired too, but that could be caused by moving house...However, today at 10 DPO these signs are less frequent or intense. The CM is less, tommy settled down and s less painful (maybe more veins difficult to say). Has anyone experienced this and still gotten a BFP, or should I expect the subsiding signs to be a forebearer of a BFN? Thanks for your thoughts on this. Sofie

Issues with skipping periods on Birth Control?

For some women, skipping a period just isn't an option. I am one of those women. I have tried twice, and failed each time. It really depends on your body and which pill you are on. The first time I attempted it, I had a week and a half period which was extremely light. You could try again, but it's not advisable to do it for more than 3 consecutive months. The new Seasonique pill is designed for this, but again not all women can use it. If you don't miss any pills you do not require to use extra protection. Good luck! :)

That would be killing yourself. P90X is meant to be a stand alone program especially when you're doing it for the first time. You can either follow the P90X program or do the Zumba and walk/jog. It's an either or thing not both. Plus you're going to add swimming to all that. Swimming for 2 hours would be enough exercise by itself.

I need ideas for my bedroom!?

Well my room is aprox 14 by 12 I believe. I am starting highschool this year so It has to be appropiate for my age. I DO NOT like pastels, nor do I like extremely dark colors. I like bright colors, but I am not trying to close my room in. I am alost looking for a andy warhol theme (meaning I have pictures I would like to hang). I am putting laminates in. We have ped the obediance training really fast (i do formal training at home) so it was just a run though mostly while working on somethings. Is this the norm when going into a breed spicific dog sport? IMO any dog who can do the work and do it PROPERLY, should be able to do it.
